		<description>One difference in the dynamics of the Ruby community vs. the Java community: the lack of a corporate Godfather.  The closest thing Ruby has is 37signals, but they're still a ways from matching Sun.  I don't know if that has any effect on the splintering of frameworks, but it's interesting to ponder.

A good central repository is also key: Java is getting that now with the Maven repository and it is SO INCREDIBLY NICE.</description>
