However, I feel the author leaves out some very good discussion of Mac OS X specific travel tips. And based on next week’s discussion, I don’t think he’ll get closer.

Specifically, I see the following things are basics of securing a mobile computer:

• FileVault
• Keep your Keychain on a removable usb-key (Secure keychain
• not storing information in the browser
• using Disk Utility to make encrypted disk images for specific data
• Locking out Single-User mode
• GPG keys
• and even just requiring a good/secure password to login to your account
